In Lanzarote we are fortunate to have different markets almost every day. Among them, the most outstanding market is the one that takes places in Teguise every Sunday. But it it not the only one.

In this post we will try to include all the markets that are organized in the island and what can you find there.

TEGUISE MARKET

There is no doubt that it is the most famous. It is celebrated every Sunday in the village of Teguise. It is situated in the old tow from 9:00 to 2:00pm.

In this case, it is market with a great variety of local products: we can find agricultural and handmade products, jewels, costume jewelry, clothe, wine and also different fast food stalls. Also, at 11:00am there are a live folklore music show in the Leones Square where you will enjoy also a wonderful tradicional dance performance.

MANCHA BLANCA MARKET

It is a farmer’s market that is every Sunday in the Mancha Blanca square, next to the hermitage of Los Dolores. It is from 9:00am to 2:00pm. We can find fruits, vegetables, pastries, dry fish, cheeses and local products.

SAN BARTOLOMÉ MARKET

This market takes places only the first Sunday of every month. Its takes place in the León y Castillo square from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Agricultural products, pastries, art and crafts, wines and cheeses are some of the products offered there. And also music performances.

COSTA TEGUISE MARKET

Every Tuesday is celebrated a agricultural market in Pueblo Marinero. It is from 9:00am to 2:00pm and it is possible to find there farmer’s products, crafts, ecology products, wines and cheeses of the island.

Then, every Wednesday and Friday takes place the craft market in the same place, Pueblo Marinero. But it is in the afternoons: from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. There we will find art and craft productos, costume jewelry, jewels and clothe.

HARIA MARKET

It is every Saturday in the León y Castillo square in Haría. From 10:00am to 2:30pm. It is a craft and farmers market and we can find agricultural, natural and organic products, wine, cheeses…

ARRECIFE MARKET

Every Saturday in the morning, in the city center, takes places the agricultural market in Las Palmas square (next to San Gines Church). It is from 9:00 to 2:00pm. There are pastries, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, wines, marmalades and mojo sauce (a typical canary spicy sauce.)

 

UGA MARKET

Every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 2:00pm, in the municipality of Yaiza, it is organized a market in the village of Uga. It is situated in Joaquín Rodríguez st., next to the St Isidro Labrador church. In the market we can find agricultural, natural and ecological products, pastries, wines and cheeses of the island.

PLAYA BLANCA MARKET

In the Marina Rubicon port, in Playa Blanca, we could find a great variety of local products. The market takes places every Wednesday and Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

PUERTO DEL CARMEN MARKET

Every Friday morning, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, in the Varadero Square we will find the market of Puerto del Carmen. There is not only local products, you have also craft and tourist shows.

TÍAS MARKET

In the Village of Tias, in the Leandro Fajardo square it is organized every Saturday from 9:00am to 2:00pm the agricultural market. Farmer’s product are the main products you will find there.

PUERTO CALERO MARKET

Every Tuesday and Friday we can enjoy the market from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Craft, clothe, costume jewelry, souvenirs… are some of the products that we will find in the port of Puerto Calero.

LA GRACIOSA MARKET

Although this market is not too big and has not a great variety, we can find different bead in the daily market that takes place in the village of Caleta de Cebo from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

As we can see, Lanzarote has a great selection of markets to go during our holidays. All of them offer a particular charm and we could find the special gift we are looking for or the souvenir to remember our visit to the island.
