HOW TO GET TO LA GRACIOSA?

If you are wondering how to get to the island, there is any problem because the island has excellent connection with Lanzarote. You only have to get on board of the ferry that departs from órzola, in the Northeast of Lanzarote. Then, in about 20 minutes you will arrive to this special place of the Canaries, where the time seems to stop.

The charm of La Graciosa lies in the peacefulness that surrounds every corner of this island. You will not find paved roads or large commercial premises. There are neither hotels nor crowded urban areas. The population centre of Caleta de Sebo, where is the port of entry and exit, is a charming place with white houses and sandy streets. In this place, locals and visitors share terraces bars and restaurants with sea views and to the impressive cliffs of Famara that is nearby the port.

This little paradise, of volcanic origin, is formed by amazing white sands beaches and  turquoise waters. You can reach to them easily on foot or bicycle by the sandy paths that cross and surround the island.

Montaña Amarilla, El Francés Beach, the small cove El barranco de los Conejos or La Concha Beach are some of the beaches we recommend you to visit in La Graciosa. In this last beach be careful with the streams and keep an eye on the state of sea, so it is a very nice beach but very dangerous when sea is rough.

La Francesa Beach, it is may be the most popular beach. It is close from Caleta de Sebo, so you can go having a short walk from there. This beach has 500 meters of the purest white sand, with a quiet turquoise sea. In some days or seasons of the year it can be very busy because is the place where many tourists from different trips arrive when they visit La Graciosa.

If you travel with the family to La Graciosa, the town beach is an ideal place for the enjoyment of children, so it is like a natural big pool protected from the open sea. Here you can rent kayaks, snorkel equipment or stand up paddle boards for the boldest people. And of course, a bike route is also a good idea to enjoy a family day in nature.
