Volcanic Adventure in Lanzarote: Timanfaya and the Volcanoes Route

Discover the volcanic heart of Lanzarote on an unforgettable tour through the Timanfaya National Park and other iconic landscapes in the south of the island.

Start Your Volcanic Journey at the Fire Mountains and Timanfaya

Our tour begins at the impressive Fire Mountains, where you’ll have the opportunity to capture spectacular photographs at the Camel Station. Here, you can also enjoy a camel ride (optional and not included in the price), immersing yourself in the volcanic landscape from a unique perspective.

Next, we’ll enter the Timanfaya National Park, a place of extraordinary natural and geological beauty. At Islote de Hilario, you’ll witness amazing geothermal demonstrations that reveal the intense volcanic activity that shaped the island. We will then drive through the iconic “Route of the Volcanoes”, where we will relive the eruptions that transformed Lanzarote centuries ago.

Explore the Fascinating Landscape of the Lava Coast

Our tour continues south to the stunning Lava Coast. This natural landscape, shaped by the force of the sea and the erosion of the wind, offers a unique visual spectacle with:

  • Dramatic cliffs plunging into the sea.
  • Lava caves formed during ancient eruptions.
  • Black sand beaches contrasting with the blue of the ocean.
  • A diverse range of flora and fauna thriving in this volcanic environment.

El Golfo and its Enigmatic Green Lagoon

  • Discover the charming fishing village of El Golfo, a picturesque corner of Lanzarote known for its white houses and peaceful, authentic atmosphere.
  • Marvel at the impressive Green Lagoon of Los Clicos, whose vibrant green hue creates a stunning contrast with the volcanic landscape. You’ll also learn the mysteries behind its unique color and other interesting facts about the area.

Discover the Charm of Yaiza and La Geria

Before we finish, we’ll make a stop at the picturesque village of Yaiza, famous for its traditional Canarian architecture, with whitewashed houses and vibrant gardens. Optionally, you can enjoy a delicious lunch on the route, which includes water or a glass of wine.

The last stop will be at La Geria, the most renowned wine region in Lanzarote. Here, you’ll discover the local ingenuity in winemaking adapted to the volcanic conditions. We’ll visit a traditional winery, where you can taste the unique wines produced in this otherworldly landscape.

After this enriching experience, we will return to the pick-up points, concluding a day full of natural wonders and local culture.
