We can confirm that carnival in Lanzarote is one of the liveliest party in Canary Islands. It starts on february in Arrecife, and then continues in other towns of the island during some weeks. Troupes, dancing groups,batucadas, murgas, costumes and masks fill the street of the differents towns to enjoy the most expected party for the local people and visitors.
If you are in Lanzarote in that dates bring yourself to dress up a costum and go out to the street and enjoy our carnival.

21:00 pm: GREAT FINAL OF THE XXX CONTEST OF MURGAS, in the Fairground, with the participation of the finalist murgas and the performance of Trio Zapatista.
Saturday, 10 of february
12:00 pm: Parade of Batucadas and Comparsas from ” The Four Corners”, León y Castillo Street to Canary Islands Park.
13:00 pm: Carnaival Porteño Arrecife with diferents performance and DJ Maxi, in La Marina Avenue.
17:00 pm: IV Dance of Masks, for senior citizens in the social and cultural center of Argana Baja.
Sunday, 11 of february
17:00 pm: Children´s party and Carnival Infant Queen coronation. Individual, pairs and groups costume competition. Performance from winners Infants Murgas and the group “Chiquilladas”.
Monday, 12 of february
18:00 horas: GRAND PARADE. Floats assemble around the city´s football ground and then setting off towards the Cabildo building.
Tuesday, 13 of february
17:30 pm: Carnival Infant in the Fairground. Workshops, inflatable mattresses,clowns and the performance of “The wizard of Oz”.
Wednesday, 14 of february
18:00 pm: BURIAL OF THE SARDINE. A parade from city council to El Reducto Beach, in hich a gigantic papier machè fish is accompanied by grieving mourners before being cremated on a big bonfire.
